Disease Likely Not a Common Cause of Species Extinction, Amherst Study Finds
Challenging the belief that endangered plants and animals are unhealthy, research from biology professor Michael Hood has found that they in fact harbor a lower number and diversity of disease-causing parasites than their non-threatened relatives.
